Dr. Richard Lockwood, President and Technical Director
Prior
to joining Lockwood Nutrition Service, Lockwood spent two years in Vietnam
working with agricultural extension and eight years in Brazil assisting the
State Department in planning the use of surplus grain for food aid. He has
worked
on projects with the World Bank, UNICEF, the World Food Program, Harvard Institute
for International Development and other development organizations. He was
also visiting professor at the Federal University of Bahia in Brazil.
Lockwood
has published a number of papers and articles on international perspectives
on nutrition and he is the co-author of a book, Methods for the Evaluation
of the Impact of Food and Nutrition Programmes.
Dr. Lockwood has received Bachelors Degree in Agriculture and Masters
Degree in Nutrition from Cornell University, and his PhD from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology from the Department of Nutrition and Food Science.
